Given a set of numbers and a set of operators, the Expressionist will compute all expressions involving a permutation or combination of these numbers and operators.
You can choose to have the numbers and operators permuted or combined independently. Take for example the sets 1,5,6,7 and +,-,*,/. Typical cases of expressions are listed in the following table.
| Cases | permuted operators | combined operators |
| permuted numbers | 5/1+6*7 | 1+5+6+7 |
| combined numbers | 1/1+1-1 | 1+1+1+1 |
The computation of all expressions can become quite lengthy, in part because the display of thousands of lines is time consuming. The expressionist lets you therefore filter the results and displays only those expressions matching a specific number.
Have fun!
